Struct Scholars partners with WIFA to Propel the Next Generation of Fitness Leaders
Los Angeles, California - Struct Club, a LA-based fitness tech startup powering fitness professionals has announced the launch of Struct Scholars, a partnership with the Women in Fitness Association (WIFA) to invest in the careers of emerging and diverse women in fitness Struct Club has committed to sponsoring five student-, student-aged, or recently graduated individuals who believe they can represent the next generation of inclusive fitness leadership into a yearlong membership with the Women in Fitness Association, a global nonprofit dedicated to propelling the careers of women in the fitness industry.
“Today, there’s a gap between those who feel welcome to work out, and those who do not. Change starts with our fellow fitness professionals - we must expand what we mean by ‘tribe’ and invite more voices to the table to represent, welcome, and celebrate anyone searching for their wellness through fitness,” said Struct Club CEO and Founder, Amira Polack. “WIFA’s leadership and membership has continually shown a fierce commitment to helping women in fitness shine through professional connection, dialogue, and mentorship across the globe.”
In a webinar on August 21, 2019 titled “Creating an Inclusive Fitness Space,” the two organizations officially announced the Struct Scholars launch, and took the application live on their respective websites.
The Struct Scholars application deadline is October 21, 2019. Finalists will be interviewed by both Struct Club and WIFA. In addition to their WIFA Membership, including WIFA monthly webinars, quarterly mentorship, live events, and more, the five select Struct Scholars will become Struct Club Ambassadors, receiving extensive fitness career mentorship from the company’s most senior leadership.
“I would invite anyone considering Struct Scholars to get a taste of the types of mentors you could gain through our community channels and the WIFA Membership Directory - the depth and breadth of these professionals are astonishing, and the list is long,” said Polack. “We cannot wait to highlight five inspiring women in a big way and help make sure they are equipped to make an even bigger difference.”
